DEBORAH CASHER
The Surface Decides
I work with beeswax, pigment, and resin in a process of layering, heating, and removal. Surfaces are built slowly and then disrupted, allowing the material to shift beyond my control.
The work develops through a balance of intention and chance. Forms emerge through accumulation, erosion, and exposure—revealing a history rather than a fixed image.
I am interested in material behavior, surface tension, and the quiet instability between structure and dissolution.
